The agreement between your school and AuraTransit.

These terms cover how schools, drivers, aides, and parents may use AuraTransit, what we're responsible for, and what we ask of you in return.

Effective date: January 1, 2026Last updated: September 14, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of AuraTransit's software, dashboards, and mobile apps (the "Service") by school administrators, transportation staff, drivers, aides, and parents. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the school or organization you represent.

01

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using AuraTransit, you confirm that you have the authority to agree to these Terms — either as an individual user or on behalf of a school or district. If you do not agree, you should not use the Service. Schools typically accept these Terms as part of a separate order form or subscription agreement, which takes precedence over these Terms where the two conflict.

02

The service we provide

AuraTransit provides software for managing school transportation, including route planning, live vehicle tracking, student boarding confirmation, and notifications to parents and guardians. Features available to a given user depend on their role and the plan their school has subscribed to.

03

Accounts & eligibility

Accounts for administrators, drivers, and aides are typically created or invited by a school. Parent and guardian accounts may be self-registered or invited by the school, and are generally linked to a specific student record provided by the school.

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account
  • You're responsible for activity that happens under your login credentials
  • You must notify us or your school administrator promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

04

Your responsibilities

Different roles carry different responsibilities on the platform:

Drivers & aides

You're responsible for accurately recording student boarding and drop-off events, and for operating the driver app safely — the Service is a tool to support safe transportation, not a replacement for attentive driving or supervision.

School administrators

You're responsible for keeping route, vehicle, and roster data accurate and current, and for managing who on your team has access to the platform.

Parents & guardians

You're responsible for keeping your contact details current so trip notifications reach you reliably.

05

Acceptable use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Access data for students, routes, or accounts you're not authorized to view
  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service
  • Use the Service to transmit harmful code or attempt unauthorized access to our systems
  • Use trip or location data for any purpose outside of coordinating student transportation
  • Share your account credentials with anyone else

06

Student data & school obligations

Schools that use AuraTransit are responsible for ensuring they have the legal authority to share student information with us as a service provider, consistent with applicable education privacy laws such as FERPA. AuraTransit processes student data solely to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy, and in accordance with the school's instructions.

07

Subscription & payment

Schools subscribe to AuraTransit under the plan and billing terms set out in their order form. Fees are billed in advance for the applicable subscription period unless otherwise agreed, and are non-refundable except as required by law or expressly stated in the order form. We may suspend access for accounts with significantly overdue payment, after providing reasonable notice.

08

Intellectual property

AuraTransit and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including its software, design, and branding. Schools retain ownership of the roster, route, and student data they input into the Service. We're granted only the rights needed to operate the Service on your behalf.

09

Availability & disclaimers

We work to keep the Service reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. Location tracking depends on device GPS, network connectivity, and third-party infrastructure outside our control, and may be delayed or unavailable at times. The Service is provided "as is," and should be used as one part of a school's broader transportation safety procedures — not as the sole safeguard for student supervision.

10

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, AuraTransit will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount paid by the school for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, except where a separate order form or agreement states otherwise.

11

Termination

A school may cancel its subscription according to the terms of its order form. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or conduct that risks the safety or security of the platform or its users. Upon termination, we'll work with the school on data export and deletion consistent with our Privacy Policy.

12

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction specified in your school's order form or subscription agreement, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless local law requires otherwise.

13

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll notify school administrators of material changes by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
